  2. Well-known Sichuan Restaurant
  3. Du-fu's Thatched Cottage
  4. ZhuGeLiang Memorial Temple & the Street beside it
  5. Chun Xi Lu
  6. Sichuan's Opera
Panda Research Center

A rainy, slippery morning in the research center.
The walk on bamboo shoots pathway to the pandas was peaceful.
It was my first time seeing panda real life, so i was really really excited!
The endangered pandas were so cute, they didn't turn out to be as white as I saw on TV.
There were also red pandas over there!
Heard that they are actually the fox-vixen or the nine-tailed fox in ancient folktales.
I even bought panda plushies from the research center. Cute! :D
Left to Right: Cute Panda! , Me & my souvenirs, "fox-vixen"
Well-known Sichuan Restaurant
We were being served with all the traditional Sichuan delicacies such as the famous mapo tofu, gongbao jiding, xiaolongbaos, and many more.
Sichuan is really a place for good food.
They really tasted different from the Sichuan food I ate in Spore!

Du-fu's Cao Tang (Thatched Cottage)

I bet you guys in Spore do not know who Du-Fu is right! :D
He was one of the famous Chinese poets in Tang Dynasty who used to live in Chengdu,
thus, built this thatched cottage to remember him.
All his poems, and his life were displayed in this Cao Tang.
Look at the above picture!

This was a well in the Du Fu’s hut;
However, the left picture was the inner part of the well! D:
The tourists who came here were really inconsiderate and disrespectful.
There was a dustbin not very far away I remembered.
Lazy litterbugs should really receive some punishment!!

ZhuGeLiang Memorial Temple
In this temple, I saw the statue of Zhugeliang, LiuBei, GuanYu and Zhangfei.
But Guanyu's statue looked really really scary & fierce!
I get to see ZhuGeLiang's statue too! :D
One of the super smart man in the ancient history.

SOOOO NICEEEEE!
Shopped at the street after that
The design of street was like those ancient china street.
Really beautiful to walk on!

We even played this 'dart game'
but it's the ancient version, using the arrows to shoot.
It was COOL. totally.

Chun Xi Lu
Chengdu's Orchard Road.
This place is a paradise for the 4 girls here!! :D
All the clothes here, most having sale!
since authmn is here, so they wanna clear away summer clothes. Awesome.
I am sooo going to go back there within these wks. :D

Sichuan's Opera
This opera is seriously the best Chinese opera I've watched.
There were 7 perfomances in total.
But there were 3 performances that really impressed me ALOT.

First. The shadow performance.

The man's fingers were really flexible to make into different shadow characters.
From the simplest bird shadow to making one guy and one girl kissing each other.
It was told by the tour guide that in order to have really flexible fingers, those people have to disable by fingers by putting stones on their fingers everyday for about 10 hrs till they were ready to perform.
I really respect those shadown performers, it's such a big sacrifice.

Next. The rolling oil performance.

It was a renown Sichuan Comedy.
Saying about this man who was afraid of his wife, and one day his wife punished him by asking him to hold an oil lamp on his head and crawl under a chair.
Really really hilarious.

Last but not least.
Bian Lian! Changing Face!

Omg, I was totally stunned when one of them actually come up to the 2nd level and performed right in front of us. The speed of him changing the face was amazing.

A great one day tour around Chengdu, I tried the food, learnt more about the history, culture and Sichuan's arts. Bought lots of souvenirs toooo! :D
